Quinte West abounds with nautical opportunities. Our perfect location along the shores of the Bay of Quinte and picturesque Trent Severn Waterway make us a perfect destination for marine enthusiasts. Our marinas are constantly bustling during the season; the local marina staff, always look forward to their return visitors as well as the new faces coming ashore every year. Boaters can take a break and relax in the adjacent park, re-stock on food stuffs and marine supplies, grab a bite at a nearby restaurant, obtain travel information, refuel and receive on-site maintenance; all within a five minute walk from the downtown marina.
Quinte West is also home to a number of boat launches scattered throughout the city. Visiting fishermen/women and local boaters can easily slip in the water at one of these launches.
Our local fishing is world renowned. Our waters offer a number of species; however our famous catch is walleye. Other common species found are large and small mouth bass, perch, Northern Pike and Rock Bass. Be sure to consult the Ontario Recreational Fishing Regulations.
Hiking and cycling options certainly abound in Quinte West. Natural and groomed trails of every terrain offer opportunities for relaxing strolls or vigorous fitness adventures. Surround yourself in green space, relax in its serenity and enjoy.

Quinte West is a proud participant of the Geocaching GPS Treasure Hunting Program. We have several caches located in our community and we welcome eager treasure hunters to have fun finding them.
Trenton is the Gateway to the Trent-Severn Waterway; known as one of Canada's greatest waterways. This famed waterway is a series of locks, canals and lakes that traverse across Quinte West, Northumberland County, the Kawartha Lakes, Simcoe and finishing in Port Severn off Georgian Bay. The magnificent lock system offers a beautiful view of Quinte West and allows one to make unforgettable memories. The first lock on in the Waterway, at Trenton, tells the fascinating story of the complete lock system. Seven of the forty-four locks are located in our community, giving boaters a chance to explore all Quinte West has to offer.
The Bay of Quinte, an arm of Lake Ontario, is a beautiful body of water that separates Prince Edward County and Quinte West. With plenty of fishing opportunities, three well maintained marinas, easily accessible boat launches, and with easy access to Lake Ontario through the Murray Canal and to the Trent-Severn Waterway, this 97 kilometer stretch of water is ideal for recreational boating.
The event is ideally located in heart of central, eastern and southern Ontario with access to millions of people. It is the great outdoors of Ontario, Canada.
